On 18 September the machinery that supervised the work was parked. It had cost time and earned nothing. The code was kept. Nothing was deleted. The same morning that was corrected: it is not gone. It was demoted to opt-in. It runs only work Chris has asked for, and it does not start itself.
On 20 September the line was locked. We spent months building an AI company operating system. Then we realised we’d built too much.
The public menu then had three packaged services. On 22 September that menu was retired. By then the job was specific. A guest writes and nobody answers, so the booking is lost. What stands in its place is a draft reply and a short brief. The owner sends.
It was a decision. The time it was taking was the reason, and it had earned nothing. The menu came off later, when the work was one problem rather than a ladder of services.
The park, the same-day correction, the locked line, and the retirement of the menu were written down. The record says it had earned nothing. It does not give a figure, and there is no figure here.
The supervised machinery stays, as opt-in. It is not the way the company runs, and it was not deleted. Those packaged services left the public menu. The job that replaced them is the unanswered guest message. The owner still decides what goes out.
If you spend your weeks maintaining the system, the system is the job. We parked the part that was serving us, and we took the broad menu down when the work got specific.
